O.K. -
Let’s talk. From the feedback we’ve gotten, many of you seem to
like this little letter-GET LIVES!!! Just kidding. Please find
enclosed a sign-up sheet for events on JULY 20, 1996. Note the time
changes and the NEW, NEW, NEW event this year- FOOSBALL. After a 5
year absence, it’s BAACCCKKKK!! Sorry if the change in events
upsets anyone but we felt this was the best schedule to keep things
moving (and keep Greenie from stressing). Also note that we are
asking for a $20.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit/Team. We have to do this
because well.. we keep getting HOSED!!! It’s a lot of money to
front to make sure everyone is happy (food, shirts, etc.) and people
would tell us they were going and then would back out. (Shame on
them). The price per team has gone up also. We really wish we
didn’t have to do it but if we want to reach our goal of $500 for
Joe’s scholarship and $500 for the A.C.S. we had to do it. The
entry fee is now $70/team. If you think about it, for $35/person you
get a snazzy T-shirt designed by Kuch, all you can eat and drink for
2 1/2 days, a raft trip down the Delaware, a pig roast, door prizes,
and lots of laughs. Of course all are welcome even if they don’t
want to compete (WIMPS). A donation of $25.00/person is required for
eats, drink, and T-shirt.
There was
little feedback so we have decided that there will be 2 Divisions
this year, Men’s and Co-Ed. Each division will have separate
rankings and separate trophies. However, Co-Ed teams will still play
against Men’s teams throughout the day. Is there ANY interest in
an over 50 division?? We haven’t heard much about this, let us
know.
The raffle
this year should be better than last year’s. We expect to have
over 50 Prizes. Raffle Tickets will be priced as follows: 1
Ticket-$5.00, 3 Tickets-$10.00, 7 Tickets-$20.00, or 10
Tickets-$25.00. If anyone has anything to raffle off- PLEASE,
PLEASE, PLEASE let us know. Any and all gifts would be greatly
appreciated and would just make the day neato-kean. (And your
company or business gets to be on 150 T-shirts as well as your
business card given out to over 100 people).
Speaking of
T-shirts. Everyone that enters of course gets an original KUCH
designed T-Shirt. However, due to popular demand, you may purchase
additional shirts for $5.00 (while supplies last). They make great
Birthday, Christmas, Ground Hog Day, Valentine’s Day, etc. gifts.
There is one
drawback to this year’s event. Cathy is fully healed and we
won’t be able to lock her in the garage this year. We may also get
a special treat and see Brian & Renee, now that he doesn’t
have that lame Chemotherapy excuse (no phone calls please, it’s
just a joke).
This is our
keep in touch section: John and Julie Zanger, defending Co-Ed
Champs, just had their first child, Hans Patrick, 11LBS. 6 OUNCES!!!
(they better find a baby sitter quick so they can defend their
crown). Dave and Janene Nied had a healthy baby Girl-Ann Marie (I
don’t know Dave but she looks a little like the milk man, just a
thought bro). They have also just bought one of the most awesome
houses I have ever seen (future sight of the Choey
Memorial!?!?!?!?). Ken & Leslie got married last August and are
definitely not expecting anytime soon. Dave and Eileen Pendleton’s
daughter Casey just celebrated her first birthday (maybe we’ll see
the three of them for more than 20 minutes this year!!) Keith Sammon
has a great new job and so does Dan Harris (Dan any chance you
leaving Elvis home, just kidding!!!). Beaner is still backing them
big rigs up!!! We hope we haven’t forgotten anyone, but I’m sure
you’ll let us hear about it in your own charming ways!!
Bring your
friends and we’ll see you July 19, 20, and 21!!!!!!!!!!
